Tax 2 - Free Filing!

As a follow-up to previous entry on what to use for filing tax return, I've decided on TaxCut from IRS Free File.

Among the reasons:
- It's free to file federal tax return
- My AGI will be below $52,000 (like in 2005 tax return)
- I can file state tax returns by printing them out and mail them (I have to file both New York and New Jersey)

    Argh! I will have to check out the Taxcut version for next year!! I have been Turbotaxing for so many years, I have become a creature of habit. And of course, I love the quick return! I am too impatient!
    I hope the tax gods smile upon you! :-)

    I'm still waiting for one more piece of mail before I can file. Frown I'm a hard core TurboTaxOnline'r but I'm considering the free TaxCut because it's free.

    Someone mentioned in her blog that she had not only filed her taxes but had received her refund already --- Yeowza, that's fast! [Wish I could find her entry now.]

    SCFR, maybe that was me! I am getting my refund back on Friday! :-)

    yup, that's awesome! i just e-filed my federal and NY state tax returns today. refund is expected on 2/16. however, i have to paper-file my NJ state tax return for some odd reeason.
